A beautifully crafted Japanese lidded lacquer bowl with a striking combination of deep black and warm reddish-brown tones.

The bowl features a smooth black lacquered surface, accented by a translucent reddish-brown lacquer finish around the rim and body. The subtle contrast gives the piece a quiet warmth and depth, while the gently rounded form and matching lid create an elegant, understated silhouette.

Traditionally used for serving soups, simmered dishes and seasonal preparations, lidded lacquer bowls such as this bring a refined sense of occasion to the dining table.

Its restrained design makes it equally suited to contemporary table settings, where Japanese craftsmanship can be appreciated through everyday use.
