About Us

Kotto Living is a quiet encounter with Japanese antiques.

Each piece carries time, touch, and intention — not to be admired from afar, but to be lived with in ways that feel natural to you.

My journey with Japanese antiques began not as a collector, but as someone drawn to how these objects quietly shape daily life.

I was captivated by works that had lived many lives — used, held, repaired, and still deeply beautiful.

My approach is shaped by an embodied understanding of beauty, influenced by traditional Japanese arts, and refined through years of observing how objects live within a home. I hold deep respect for Japanese tradition, while continuing to learn — allowing both quiet restraint and moments of playful brilliance to exist side by side.

This space was created to bring Japanese antiques into contemporary homes — without formality or intimidation.

These objects are not confined to the past. They remain present — open to use, display, and reinterpretation.

We hope for moments of quiet recognition —
when a piece simply feels right in your hands or in your space.

Each piece is carefully selected
with respect for its history, character, and quiet strength.

However you choose to live with it,
may it continue its journey with you.

Looking ahead, this is envisioned not only as a gallery,
but as a future gathering place
where Japanese culture, craft, and living traditions
are thoughtfully shared.
