A beautifully crafted Japanese lacquer bowl featuring an exceptionally fine red thread-like pattern against a deep black lacquer ground.

The delicate lines are applied in remarkably close, even rows, creating a subtle sense of rhythm and texture across both the lid and the bowl. The warm red lacquer contrasts beautifully with the deep black, giving the piece a refined and understated presence.

The fitted lid and generous bowl make it suitable for serving seasonal dishes, simmered foods and other special preparations. Its restrained colour palette and finely executed pattern also allow it to sit beautifully as part of a contemporary table setting.

A sophisticated example of Japanese lacquer craftsmanship, where beauty comes from precision, repetition and restraint.
